Dr. Jacqueline Bird is a Caribbean National an Antiguan by birth but St. Lucian by choice, a graduate of the University of the West Indies School of Medicine ( Class of 1982A): M.B.B.S. (Honors in Internal Medicine & Obstetrics/Gynecology): with a Diploma in Child Health (DCH)1985 and a Doctorate in Paediatrics (DM Paeds) – 1989.

  • 2000–2017 – Community Pediatrician in charge of St. Lucia’s Community Child Health Service, hub of child & adolescent healthcare and related services
  • One of 3 Founding Directors of RISE (St. Lucia) Inc. in 2007 – an NGO dedicated to societal change through positive youth development;
  • One of the Founding Directors of St. Lucia’s 1st private hospital – Tapion Hospital – where a Pediatric private practice is based
  • Manager of a Mobile Youth Health clinic, a partnership with RISE (St. Lucia) Inc., St. Lucia Planned Parenthood Association, Community Relations Police, Ministry of Health & World Pediatric Project
