Tapion hospital is a private hospital located on the picturesque Tapion reef overlooking the sea at Castries minutes from the capital. Our shuttle travels between the Derek Walcott square and Tapion approximately every half-hour.

The doors to our 30-bed private facility were opened to the public in 1996. Rooms consist of private, semi-private and multiple beds. There are two well-equipped operating theatre recovery rooms, as well as labour and delivery suite. We also boast of a well stocked pharmacy which has extended opening hours for your convenience.

Staffed by a cadre of committed specialists we aim to provide a high standard of medical care. Operated on the “mall” concept (the building is a converted small hotel) all specialists are responsible for their business units.

We also boast the largest accredited private laboratory in the Eastern Caribbean that is able to offer a wide range of diagnostic investigations, under the direct supervision of a Consultant Pathologist. Our Radiology facility is equipped with state of the art machinery including MRI scans,CT scanners, digital fluoroscopy, colour doppler, mammography and ultrasound.

With regard to pharmaceuticals, we carry a wide range of high quality prescription and counter medications. Special orders can be arranged.

Our Renal Dialysis unit is the latest addition to our family. Five patients can be accommodated simultaneously. Our unit follows Canadian standards.

Local and foreign insurance plans are accepted on the production of an authorization letter.

We have embarked on several initiatives to make quality private health care more accessible and affordable to citizens and residents of St. Lucia. Agreements have been signed with:

• Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Ltd. (FICS) of St. Lucia

Baptist Health Systems of South Florida comprise of six hospitals and medical facilities, two of which are among the top 100 hospitals in the United States of America. As a result, St. Lucians can now access every medical specialty that is not available locally.

FICS extends credit facilities to patients of Tapion Hospital to meet all hospital costs and professional fees. Approval and disbursement of funds are done within a matter of hours.

We also offer St. Lucians the Tapion Medicard. This card entitles the holder to a 10% discount on all doctor’s visits, pharmaceutical purchases, laboratory services and restaurant purchases for one year.
