Dr. Tamara Semei Spencer is a distinguished medical professional currently serving as the lead consultant in anesthesia and intensive care at Tapion Hospital. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she holds the position of medical director and is an active member of the hospital’s board.
Dr. Spencer’s educational background includes a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of the West Indies, followed by an MBBS from St. Augustine, Trinidad. She furthered her expertise by completing a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Anesthesia and ICU at Cave Hill Campus in 2011. Her commitment to excellence in her field led her to pursue a clinical fellowship in ICU at Bristol University Hospitals, alongside a fellowship in obstetric anesthesia.
Since returning to St. Lucia in 2015, Dr. Spencer has made significant contributions as a consultant in both the public and private healthcare sectors. Her dedication to improving healthcare in St. Lucia continues to shape the medical landscape, ensuring quality care for her community.
