Epidural and Pain Management during Delivery

Epidural anesthesia is a common and effective method for pain relief during labor and delivery. It involves administering medication near the spinal nerves to reduce pain while allowing the mother to remain awake.
Epidurals can significantly ease labor pain but may slightly limit movement and sensation in the lower body.Other pain management options include breathing techniques, intravenous medications, and natural methods like relaxation and positioning.
The choice of pain relief depends on the mother’s preference, medical condition, and labor progress.
