Debra Spencer’s, RPh, journey with Tapion Hospital began in 1997. She is a highly experienced licensed pharmacist with more than 35 years of dedicated service in both community and hospital settings. She began her career in community pharmacy in 1990, where she spent six years building a strong foundation in medication dispensing, patient counseling, and chronic disease management.
For nearly three decades at Tapion Hospital, Ms. Spencer has been instrumental in shaping and advancing the institution’s pharmacy practice. As a hospital pharmacist, she has worked closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes. Her contributions have included strengthening medication safety protocols, reducing the risk of adverse drug events, and promoting the rational use of medicines across clinical departments.
Ms. Spencer has also played a key role in enhancing pharmacy operations at Tapion, supporting the development of efficient dispensing systems, mentoring junior staff, and reinforcing best practices in patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
