Job Summary:
The Radiologist at Tapion Hospital is a senior medical professional responsible for leading the Radiology Department and providing expert diagnostic imaging services. This role involves performing, interpreting, and reporting on a wide range of imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans and ultrasound. The Radiologist collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and radiology staff to guide patient diagnosis and treatment, while ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and efficiency within the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex cases with accuracy and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Department Management:
- Lead the Radiology Department, supervising radiographers and other radiology staff.
- Ensure departmental operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with hospital standards.
- Develop and implement protocols for safe and effective imaging services.
Clinical Duties:
- Review patients’ medical histories and participate in selecting the most appropriate imaging modality.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging.
- Provide accurate reports to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Suggest alternative imaging techniques when necessary to improve diagnostic accuracy.
- Communicate with patients to explain imaging procedures and ensure their comfort and understanding.
- Perform minimally invasive image-guided procedures as required by clinical practice.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and radiology technicians to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Report directly to the Medical Director on departmental progress, challenges, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Academic qualification: 10+ years of clinical radiology experience, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Licensing: Must hold a valid and active medical license.
