Air Conditioning (A/C) Technician

Job Summary:

Tapion Hospital is seeking a skilled, dependable, and experienced A/C Technician to join our Maintenance Team. This role is essential in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all air conditioning and ventilation systems throughout the hospital.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and compliant healthcare environment for patients, staff, and visitors by ensuring that HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across the hospital facility.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement timely corrective measures.
• Monitor and maintain temperature control systems in critical areas such as operating theatres, laboratories, and patient care areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and healthcare facility regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report major repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and after-hours calls as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Academic Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology or a related technical field.
• Relevant technical certification or licensing is considered an asset.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and safety standards.
• Experience working in a hospital or regulated environment is considered an advantage.

• Good communication and reporting skills.
